Barleywine


Getting ready for Christmas. Today I'm trying out a new technique. Last year I made a barleywine and the gravity ended up a little bit lower than I had hoped for, this year I'm expecting that and I'll sparge again to make a small beer from the second runnings. This will be my first attempt at partigyle brewing. I'll be pitching the slurry to the 10 gallon Amber Ale, so I should have plenty of yeast to get this beer fermented and ready for conditioning in a hurry.
