Pale Ale


Now that I'm brewing indoors for the winter, I've had to make some adjustments to my usual Pale Ale recipe. I did notice that I forgot to purchase grain bags when I was last at the brew store. I tried to use a colander instead, but I don't think that it worked out very well.

12/18/2005: I tasted a sample today when I put it in the keg. Seems that it has absorbed a bit of the spiced flavor from the previous batch. Luckily, the flavor is in a manageable amount. It doesn't seem too bad at all. I'm afraid that this is a warning that the spiced winter ale is going to be way too spiced.
